Next-generation sequencing of the horse antibody repertoire

Horse serum antibodies have been used for more than a century for the treatment and prophylaxis of infectious diseases and envenomations. Little is known, however, about the IG diversity that produces serum antibodies. Here, we employed next-generation sequencing for a first-in-kind comprehensive analysis of equine B-cell repertoire.

马血清抗体用于感染性疾病的治疗与预防以及毒液中毒的防治已有百余年历史。然而，目前学界对产生血清抗体的免疫球蛋白（Immunoglobulin，IG）的多样性仍知之甚少。本研究首次采用下一代测序（next-generation sequencing）技术，对马B细胞库（B-cell repertoire）展开全面分析。
