Very heavy rainfall, a result of tropical cyclone Freddy which affected southern Malawi from 12 to 15 March 2023, caused floods and landslides. The Data in Emergencies (DIEM) team at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) examined the satellite images for this period to understand the impact. This StoryMap provides an assessment of the potential impacts of the floods and landslides on agriculture and livelihoods in Malawi.
