Aiming at the key scientific questions in the detection and chemical process studies of reactive halogen oxides in the Arctic Svalbard region, ground-based passive MAX-DOAS technology was employed to perform high-sensitivity, high-resolution remote sensing observations of tropospheric BrO and other atmospheric trace gases, thereby acquiring their column abundances and profile distribution data. This work aims to reveal the concentration levels and distribution characteristics of tropospheric BrO in the Arctic region, investigate the potential sources and formation mechanisms of tropospheric halogen oxides, analyze their reservoir forms, and assess their potential environmental impacts.
This dataset consists of the slant column concentration analysis data of BrO and IO collected during the 2018 Yellow River Station expedition using MAX-DOAS technology. The analytical method applied is differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS). The measured analytes include BrO and IO, and the survey locations are the Yellow River Station and the Zeppelin Station in the Ny-Ålesund region.
