Proteus mirabilis is one of the most common causes of urinary tract infections (UTI). Molybdate-binding protein ModA, which binds and transports molybdate with high affinity. There is increasing evidence that ModA promotes bacterial survival in anaerobic environments and is involved in bacterial virulence through the acquisition of molybdenum. To investigate the effect of ModA in P. mirabilis, gene expression profiling by RNA-Seq of a modA gene knockout strain of P. mirabilis was performed.Overall design: Differential gene expression analysis for modA gene knockout strain of P. mirabilis and control strain using DP2019 (accession number: CP110673).

奇异变形杆菌(Proteus mirabilis)是引发尿路感染(urinary tract infections, UTI)的最常见致病菌之一。钼结合蛋白ModA(Molybdate-binding protein ModA)可高亲和力结合并转运钼酸盐。越来越多的研究证据表明,ModA可促进细菌在厌氧环境中的存活,并通过摄取钼参与细菌的致病过程。 为探究ModA在奇异变形杆菌中的作用,研究人员对奇异变形杆菌的modA基因敲除菌株开展了基于RNA测序(RNA-Seq)的基因表达谱分析。实验整体设计:采用DP2019菌株(登录号:CP110673),对奇异变形杆菌modA基因敲除菌株与对照菌株进行差异基因表达分析。
