Climax Canyon XRD Raw Data

X-ray diffraction raw data for clays collected at Climax Canyon K-Pg locality, Raton Basin, New Mexico, USA.

The data forms part of a study on spherules from the K-Pg boundary, providing mineralogical characterisation of clay layers at Climax Canyon. Four datasets refer to the boundary clay (ClimaxC and ClimaxC_rust), as well as material from above and below the boundary.

The data will be presented in a thesis (by M. Boyd) and a manuscript (in preparation, led by the M. Boyd). Values are counts at a given scattering angle (2 theta), which can be used to form an XRD pattern.

美国新墨西哥州拉顿盆地（Raton Basin）克莱马克斯峡谷K-Pg剖面采集点位的黏土X射线衍射（X-ray diffraction, XRD）原始数据。本数据集属于K-Pg界线球粒研究的一部分，旨在对克莱马克斯峡谷的黏土层开展矿物学表征。本次共包含四组数据集，分别对应界线黏土（ClimaxC与ClimaxC_rust）以及界线上下的沉积物样品。相关成果将以M. Boyd撰写的学位论文，以及其主导的待投稿研究手稿形式发表。数据值为特定散射角（2θ）下的计数结果，可用于绘制X射线衍射图谱。
