Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus (Cx. quinquefasciatus) and Culex pipiens form molestus (Cx. molestus) in the Culex pipiens Complex group show significant differences in host-seeking blood-sucking, mating and vector competence. The blood-sucking behavior of mosquitoes is closely related to the olfactory gene expression. The comparison of olfactory genes between the two subspecies with significantly different blood-sucking behaviors can lay the foundation for further elucidating the molecular mechanism of the olfactory sensory system of Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus, providing new approach on candidate compounds for attractants or repellents.
尖音库蚊复合组(Culex pipiens Complex)中的致倦库蚊(Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus,简称Cx. quinquefasciatus)与骚扰型淡色库蚊(Culex pipiens form molestus,简称Cx. molestus),在寻血吸血行为、交配特性及媒介效能方面均存在显著差异。蚊虫的吸血行为与嗅觉基因的表达紧密相关。对这两种吸血行为差异显著的亚种开展嗅觉基因比较研究,可为进一步阐明致倦库蚊嗅觉感知系统的分子机制奠定坚实基础,同时为引诱剂或驱避剂的候选化合物开发提供全新研发路径。
