Kilombero Malaria Project (Ifakara 1980-1990)

Kilombero Malaria Project (KMP) Data Overview The Kilombero Malaria Project was a large-scale field study conducted in 1988-1990. The project generated extensive entomological and serological datasets. At the time, electronic data collection tools did not exist, so all information was recorded on paper forms and later manually transcribed into digital format using FoxPro, which predates modern tools such as R. In total, the project produced 38 FoxPro DBF files. Numerous analyses were performed in the early 1990s, and several publications were produced based on these data. Since then, the data has remained archived in local drive. This repository represents an effort to revive the data usable again as public open source for academic and reseach purposes.
