Forest soil microbial communities across eastern China. soil metagenome

In total, mountain forest reserves located across a broad range of latitudes and longitudes in China were surveyed. These forest reserves are characterized by a wide range of climate zones, vegetation types, mean annual temperature, and mean annually precipitation. In each forest reserve, sampling locations were randomly chosen along the same aspect of the mountain. Soils were stored in sterilized polyethylene bags and kept on ice immediately in the field and then transported to the laboratory. Finally, we obtained a total of 472 soil samples from the 28 forest reserves. Each sample was separated into two subsamples: one for subsequent chemical analyses and the other for molecular experiment.

本研究对分布于中国广阔经纬度范围内的山地森林保护区开展了系统调查。这些森林保护区涵盖多样的气候带、植被类型、年平均气温与年平均降水量。在每个森林保护区内，均沿山体的同一坡向随机选取采样点位。土壤样品采集后即刻装入灭菌聚乙烯袋中，并置于冰上保存，随后转运至实验室。最终，本研究从28个森林保护区中共获取472份土壤样品。每份样品均被分为两份子样本：一份用于后续的化学分析，另一份用于分子实验。
