2016年2月至3月，在美属维尔京群岛（USVI）圣约翰岛拉梅什湾的三个调查点位——东卡布里特、欧罗巴湾与东特基特——开展冠层内外点位调查，获取各分类科的鱼类丰度与觅食速率数据。

本数据集用于验证Tsounis等人2020年发表于《珊瑚礁》（Coral Reefs）的假说1：栖息地复杂性在区分八放珊瑚（octocoral）与石珊瑚（scleractinian）定植生态位中的作用。相关内容包含表1、表2、图3及附录2。
