In this study, we applied 454 high-throughput pyrosequencing to identify bacterial pathogen DNA sequences, including those not traditionally monitored by MST and correlated their abundances to specific sources of contamination such as urban runoff and agricultural runoff from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), recreation park area, waste-water treatment plants, and natural sites with little or no human activities.
在本研究中,我们运用了454高通量焦磷酸测序技术,以识别细菌病原体DNA序列,包括那些传统上未被MST监测的序列,并将它们的丰度与特定的污染源相关联,如城市径流、集约化动物饲养场(CAFOs)的农业径流、休闲公园区域、污水处理厂以及人类活动少或无的自然地点。
