The global multi-sensor time-series along-track Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Integrated Sea State Parameters (ISSP) dataset (designated as SAR WV onboard Sentinel-1 Level 2P (L2P) ISSP data) was developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) Sea State Climate Change Initiative (CCI) project, with a primary focus on climate research. This dataset comprises the Sentinel-1 SAR remote sensing Integrated Sea State Parameters product (v1.0), which is a component of the ESA Sea State CCI v3.0 release. Processed using the oceanographic model proposed by Pleskachevsky et al. (2021), this product provides along-track primary significant wave height measurements and secondary sea state parameters. It was calibrated against CMEMS model data and reference in-situ measurements, featuring an along-track resolution of 20 km with sampling at 100 km intervals, and is organized by satellite platform and cruise, incorporating all measurements, quality flags, and uncertainty estimates. These expert-grade products have rich, comprehensive content with no data loss. The SAR Wave Mode (WV) data of Sea State CCI SAR WV utilized in the Sentinel-1 Level 2P (L2P) ISSP v3 dataset originates from the Sentinel-1 mission (Sentinel-1A, Sentinel-1B) covering the period from 2014 to 2021.
