EOS-RS Flood Proxy Map: Vietnam, Floods, 19 Sep 2024

The Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) created this preliminary Flood Proxy Map (FPM) depicting areas that are likely flooded in Vietnam due to heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Soulik. This map was derived from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) before (11 Jan 2024 to 7 Sep 2024) and during (19 Sep 2024) the event.

新加坡地球观测站遥感实验室（Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab, EOS-RS）制作了本初步洪水代理地图（Flood Proxy Map, FPM），该地图描绘了热带风暴“苏力”强降雨导致越南境内可能发生洪涝的区域。本地图基于欧洲空间局（European Space Agency, ESA）运营的哥白尼哨兵-1号卫星获取的合成孔径雷达（Synthetic Aperture Radar, SAR）影像生成，影像采集时段覆盖该事件发生前（2024年1月11日至2024年9月7日）与发生期间（2024年9月19日）。
