Relief: St George's Hall

Liverpool imports cattle and wool for food and clothing (panel on the façade of St. George's Hall, Liverpool) by Conrad Dressler (1856-1940). This is a very different production, thanks to the rippling muscles of the man who has evidently just slain the ox in the bottom left-hand corner, with his knife now strategically placed across his bare buttocks. No wonder Liverpool looks away, focusing instead on the woolly lamb between her and the shepherd on the right.康拉德·德雷斯勒（Conrad Dressler，1856-1940）创作的浮雕装饰板《利物浦进口牲畜与羊毛以供应食品与衣物》，陈列于利物浦圣乔治大厅的立面之上。这件作品别具一格，源于左下角那名显然刚宰杀完公牛的男子：他肌肉线条饱满流畅，手中的刀具恰到好处地搭在赤裸的臀部上。无怪乎浮雕中的利物浦形象侧身转向一旁，转而将目光聚焦于自身与右侧牧羊人之间那只毛茸茸的羔羊。
