Peptide hormones (or peptide hormones) are key signaling molecules secreted by endocrine cells, regulating vital processes such as metabolism, growth, development, and reproduction. Advances in protein detection and machine learning continue to reveal novel peptide hormones, highlighting their potential in clinical applications and drug development.To support systematic research, we have upgraded HORDB to version 2.0, an open-access, manually curated database of peptide hormones. It comprises 7,390 entries, including 7307 peptide hormones and 83 peptide hormone drugs, which correspond to 372 marketed formulations. Each entry is annotated with sequence, activity, structure, physicochemical properties, patents, clinical data, and references. Additional parameters such as IC₅₀, EC₅₀, ED₅₀, and blood–brain barrier permeability are included to aid peptide modification and drug design.The database features a user-friendly interface for browsing, searching, and downloading data. A submission portal enables community updates, and integrated tools support online analysis of peptide properties and functions. HORDB 2.0 serves as a comprehensive and practical resource for peptide hormone research and therapeutic development.
肽激素(peptide hormones)是内分泌细胞分泌的关键信号分子,可调控代谢、生长、发育与繁殖等核心生命过程。蛋白质检测技术与机器学习的持续进步,不断揭示出新型肽激素,凸显了其在临床应用与药物开发中的巨大潜力。为支撑系统性研究,我们将肽激素数据库HORDB升级至2.0版本,该库为开放获取、经人工整理的肽激素数据库。其共包含7390条数据条目,涵盖7307条肽激素与83条肽激素类药物,对应372种上市制剂。每条条目均注释有序列、活性、结构、理化性质、专利信息、临床数据及参考文献。此外还纳入了IC₅₀、EC₅₀、ED₅₀及血脑屏障通透性等额外参数,以辅助肽修饰与药物设计工作。该数据库配备了用户友好的界面,支持数据浏览、检索与下载功能。社区提交入口可实现科研社区的内容更新,集成工具集则可在线分析肽的性质与功能。HORDB 2.0可作为肽激素研究与治疗开发领域的全面实用资源。
