Pottery Dataset - Preludium 21 - Sail South to Reach the East - Berenike and Red Sea as a Lacking Puzzle of Late Antique Indian Ocean Trade.

This dataset contains all ceramic records compiled during the implementation of the National Science Centre (Poland) grant Preludium 21, entitled Sail South to Reach the East – Berenike and the Red Sea as a Missing Piece in the Puzzle of Late Antique Indian Ocean Trade (Reg. No. 2022/45/N/HS3/01784). The dataset comprises: Two structured pottery databases, corresponding to the archaeological sites of Berenike and Sikait. Two chronological tables providing detailed information on the dating of excavated loci from both sites. The databases include quantified ceramic material recorded during fieldwork and post-excavation analysis. The chronological tables synthesize stratigraphic and typological data to support the proposed dating framework for individual contexts.本数据集涵盖波兰国家科学中心（National Science Centre, Poland）Preludium 21号资助项目执行期间整理的全部陶瓷遗存记录，该项目课题为《扬帆南下，驶向东方——贝雷尼克与红海：晚古代印度洋贸易拼图中的缺失一环》（登记编号：2022/45/N/HS3/01784）。 本数据集包含如下内容： 1. 两套结构化陶器数据库，分别对应贝雷尼克（Berenike）与西凯特（Sikait）两处考古遗址； 2. 两张年代学表格，详细记载两处遗址发掘层位的断代信息； 3. 上述数据库收录了田野调查与发掘后分析阶段记录的量化陶瓷遗存；年代学表格则整合了地层学与类型学数据，可为各考古遗存的推定断代框架提供支撑。
