Apokalyptischer Engel

Apocalyptic angel in front of the entrance to the cemetery in Laxenburg. The angel is carrying the book with the seven seals and a tuba in his hands. The book with the seven seals is reported in the New Testament. A lamb (symbol of Jesus Christ) opens the seven seals one after the other, triggering the Apocalypse. Through the first four seals, four apocalyptic horsemen are unleashed upon the earth. The fifth seal reveals the souls of the martyrs under the altar. The sixth seal makes the earth tremble, the sun turns black, the moon becomes like blood and the stars fall to earth. Finally, the seventh seal is the definitive end of the world so far. It is devastated by seven angels with trumpets and an eighth with the censer.
