Proteome database of Morganella morganii subsp. morganii KT

<i>Morganella morganii </i>is a Gram-negative bacterium which is part of the microbiota of the gastrointestinal tract. Capable of causing nosocomial infections when displaced from its natural habitat, the bacterium is also receiving attention for its natural resistance to many beta-lactam antibiotics. This work presents the proteome database of <i>M. morganii</i> subsp. morganii KT by parsing its annotated proteome downloaded from UniProt. The database comprises protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues, molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome. Overall, the resource should find use in functional genomics studies, particularly from the perspective of understanding the in-built capability of the microbe in resisting many beta-lactam antibiotics.

摩根氏摩根菌（Morganella morganii）是一种革兰氏阴性菌（Gram-negative bacterium），为胃肠道微生物群的固有成员。当其从自然栖息地移位后，可引发医院感染；同时，该菌对多种β-内酰胺类抗生素（beta-lactam antibiotics）的天然耐药性也使其受到学界广泛关注。本研究通过解析从UniProt下载的注释蛋白质组，构建了摩根氏摩根菌摩根亚种KT（M. morganii subsp. morganii KT）的蛋白质组数据库。该数据库涵盖了该蛋白质组中每一种蛋白质的名称、氨基酸序列、残基数、分子量及核苷酸序列。总体而言，该数据集资源可应用于功能基因组学研究，尤其可为解析该微生物固有耐药多种β-内酰胺类抗生素的能力提供研究支撑。
