The total import and export trade volume of forest products has grown from 120.639 billion USD in 2012 to 191 billion USD in 2022, with the trade scale expanding 1.5-fold. Since 2023, with the continuous recovery of the domestic macro environment, the forest products industry has maintained a steady development trend. Various enterprises have actively promoted the global market layout of forest products. The imports of wood pulp, logs, and sawn timber, as well as the exports of wooden furniture, artificial boards, and flooring, all rank first globally. China has become the world's largest country in terms of forest product production, trade, and consumption. The Global Forestry Production and Trade Data launched by CnOpenData covers production and trade data of logs, primary wood, and paper products for all countries and regions worldwide since 1961. The main types of primary forest products include logs, sawn timber, artificial boards, pulp, paper, and paperboard. The dataset contains fields such as domain, region, factor, subject, year, import/export quantity/value, and identification description.
