This dataset accompanies the manuscript: Ambient light drives verteporfin-induced protein cross-linking during standard laboratory sample processing. Verteporfin (VP), a benzoporphyrin photosensitizer widely used as a pharmacological inhibitor of the YAP–TEAD transcriptional complex, induces high-molecular-weight complex (HMWC) formation, apparent YAP depletion, and cytotoxicity that are predominantly photochemical artifacts arising from ambient light exposure during standard laboratory procedures.
