This dataset accompanies the manuscript: Ambient light drives verteporfin-induced protein cross-linking during standard laboratory sample processing. Verteporfin (VP), a benzoporphyrin photosensitizer widely used as a pharmacological inhibitor of the YAP–TEAD transcriptional complex, induces high-molecular-weight complex (HMWC) formation, apparent YAP depletion, and cytotoxicity that are predominantly photochemical artifacts arising from ambient light exposure during standard laboratory procedures. This dataset provides all primary data supporting the manuscript conclusions.
