The dataset mainly contains data showing the wintering, stopover and breeding sites of four tracked migratory waterfowl species in East Asia during 2015 to 2022 and their related informations. This dataset is based on the following resources available in the public domain:
8-day 250-metre Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Terra surface reflectance product (MOD09Q1; v6.1) is available from https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/products/mod09q1v061/ (DOI: 10.5067/MODIS/MOD09Q1.061).
Bird distribution range is available from Birdlife data zone (https://datazone.birdlife.org/home) and Li et al. (2020) (https://wildfowl.wwt.org.uk/index.php/wildfowl/article/view/2740).
300m Land cover data used to filter the onset of spring data (see Supporting Information) is available from Copernicus Climate Change Service, Climate Data Store (https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/satellite-land-cover?tab=overview, DOI: 10.24381/cds.006f2c9a).
Daily maximum temperature data (see Supporting Information) is available from ERA5 hourly data (https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-era5-pressure-levels?tab=overview, DOI: 10.24381/cds.bd0915c6).
High-precision Northeast China Plain area land cover data (see Supporting Information) is available from Yu et al. (2022) (DOI: 10.1080/15481603.2022.2096184).
The code contains the R scripts and MATLAB scripts that were used in our study.
