We assessed soil denitrification in distinct forest stands at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest (HBEF) in New Hampshire. Soils were taken from 1) three soil depths (combined Oi/Oe, combined Oa/A, upper mineral B layer), 2) at three elevations (Spruce fir, High elevation Hardwoods, and Lower elevation Hardwoods) 3) in two watersheds (reference, treated previously with wollastonite (CaSiO3) to increase soil pH).
本研究针对美国新罕布什尔州哈伯布鲁克实验林(Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, HBEF)内不同林分的土壤反硝化作用开展了评估。供试土壤的采样覆盖以下三类梯度条件:1)三种土壤深度层次,即合并的Oi/Oe层、合并的Oa/A层以及上部矿质B层;2)三种海拔生境,分别为云杉冷杉林、高海拔阔叶林与低海拔阔叶林;3)两个流域,包括对照流域以及此前通过施用硅灰石(wollastonite, CaSiO3)以提升土壤pH的处理流域。
