The purpose of this study was to examine the role of defense hormones in shaping the tomato root bacterial community. The objectives were to 1)compare the rhizosphere and endosphere root bacterial communities of tomato defense hormone mutants for salicylic acid, jasmonic acid, and ethylene and 2) examine natural differences in root microbiomes of tomato and wild relative genotypes, including 20 recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross between an S. lycopersicum (Hawaii7996) and an S. pimpinellifolium (West Virginia700).
本研究旨在探究防御激素在塑造番茄根部细菌群落结构中的作用。研究目标包含两点:1)对比水杨酸(salicylic acid)、茉莉酸(jasmonic acid)及乙烯(ethylene)三类防御激素相关番茄突变体的根际(rhizosphere)与内生境(endosphere)根部细菌群落;2)解析栽培番茄及其野生近缘基因型的根部微生物组自然差异,其中涵盖由栽培番茄(S. lycopersicum,代号Hawaii7996)与醋栗番茄(S. pimpinellifolium,代号West Virginia700)杂交得到的20个重组自交系(recombinant inbred lines)。
