Genetic analysis of intercross between African and non-African Aedes aegypti mosquitoes

We intercrossed African and non-African mosquitoes and genetically analyzedtheir progeny to map genomic regions associated with differences in ZIKV susceptibility. This study may contribute to explaining why Africa has been relatively spared from large-scale Zika outbreaks to date.
