DairyFMBN: a database of studies on the bacterial microbiota of dairy products

DairyFMBN v2.1.4 includes a selection of records from FoodMicrobionet v 3.2 with studies on the microbiota of milk, fermented milks, cheese, starter cultures and dairy environments. The data are accessible via a Shiny app whose manual is included. Changes over version 2 of DairyFMBN: a. there are 54 studies in this version (4 more than in the previous version) b. now the Taxa table in the aggregate tab allows direct access to NCBI taxonomy, LPSN and Florilege (http://migale.jouy.inra.fr/Florilege/#&welcome) c. includes an improved version of the Shiny app d. incorporates changes to the taxa table, which is now aligned to SILVA taxonomy (https://www.arb-silva.de/documentation/silva-taxonomy/). This has become necessary to improve compatibility with new accessions to FoodMicrobionet, which now assigns taxonomy based on SILVA v138. The app and the database can be used to carry out meta-studies on the bacterial microbiota of dairy foods, as described in Parente E., Ricciardi A. Zotta T. (2020). DairyFMBN v2.1.4 数据集精选自FoodMicrobionet v3.2，收录了针对牛乳、发酵乳、奶酪、发酵剂培养物及乳制品环境的微生物群相关研究。该数据集可通过附带操作手册的Shiny应用（Shiny app）获取。相较于DairyFMBN v2版本，本版本更新内容如下：
a. 本版本共收录54项研究，较前版新增4项；
b. 汇总标签页中的分类群（Taxa）表格现已支持直接跳转至NCBI分类学（NCBI taxonomy）数据库、LPSN及Florilege（http://migale.jouy.inra.fr/Florilege/#&welcome）；
c. 升级了Shiny应用版本；
d. 优化了分类群表格，使其与SILVA分类学（SILVA taxonomy，https://www.arb-silva.de/documentation/silva-taxonomy/）体系对齐。这一调整旨在提升与FoodMicrobionet新增收录数据的兼容性，后者目前已基于SILVA v138进行分类学注释。
