Daily average of 30-minute Volumetric Water Content at NPP C-SAND met station. Collection of soil volumetric water content data at Jornada LTER NPP sites, New Mexico, supports the environmental monitoring objectives of the Jornada LTER monitoring program that look at plant-soil water dynamics. Volumetric water content, bulk electrical conductivity, soil temperature, and bulk dielectric permittivity are measured and calculated at an automated meteorological station installed at Jornada LTER NPP C-SAND site. The daily average at 3 soil depths is calculated from measurements made every 30 minutes at 10 cm, 20 cm, and 30 cm. This is an ONGOING dataset.

本数据集为新墨西哥州霍纳达长期生态研究站(Long-Term Ecological Research, LTER)净初级生产力(Net Primary Productivity, NPP)C-SAND气象站的30分钟土壤容积含水量(Volumetric Water Content)日平均值数据集。本数据集收录了新墨西哥州Jornada LTER NPP站点的土壤容积含水量数据,旨在支撑Jornada LTER监测计划中针对植物-土壤水分动态的环境监测目标。安装于Jornada LTER NPP C-SAND站点的自动气象站,可测定并计算土壤容积含水量、体积电导率(bulk electrical conductivity)、土壤温度以及体积介电常数(bulk dielectric permittivity)。研究团队基于10 cm、20 cm、30 cm三个土层深度每30分钟一次的观测数据,计算得到对应土层的日平均数值。本数据集为持续更新的长期观测数据集。
