CONVERSATION AS A PATH TO FLUENCY: THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS

This article analyzes the role of conversation in developing speaking skills among English as a second language learners from a theoretical perspective. The article examines cognitive psychology, interaction approaches, sociocultural theory and affective factors in oral language acquisition. Additionally, opportunities for developing speaking skills through artificial intelligence-based chat bots are analyzed using Uzbek linguistics students as a case study. The article concludes with scientific-practical recommendations aimed at improving English language teaching methodology at Namangan State Foreign Languages Institute and other higher education institutions.本文从理论层面分析了会话在第二语言英语学习者口语能力培养中的作用。本文研究了口语习得领域中的认知心理学、互动教学法、社会文化理论以及情感因素。此外，本文以乌兹别克斯坦语言学专业学生为案例研究对象，分析了依托基于人工智能的聊天机器人培养口语能力的可行路径。本文最后提出了兼具科学性与实践性的建议，旨在优化纳曼干国立外国语学院（Namangan State Foreign Languages Institute）及其他高等院校的英语教学方法。
