The dataset of avian gut resistome from different regions of Kazakhstan

Supplementary data for the manuscript by Shilov et al. “The Chicken Gut Resistome Data From Different Regions of Kazakhstan”. In this study, we assessed data on antibiotic resistance genes identified in the bacterial gut microbiota of chickens. Tracheal and cloacal swabs collected from populations of domestic and industrial birds in different regions of Kazakhstan were used as samples. The isolated bacterial DNA was sequenced using the Ion Torrent PGM sequencing platform. Analysis of the obtained short DNA sequences for the presence of antibiotic resistance genes in the bacterial genome was performed using the RGI bwt.

希洛夫（Shilov）等所著论文《哈萨克斯坦不同地区鸡肠道耐药组（Chicken Gut Resistome）数据》的补充数据集。本研究针对从鸡肠道细菌菌群（bacterial gut microbiota）中检出的抗生素抗性基因（antibiotic resistance genes）相关数据展开评估，实验样本为从哈萨克斯坦不同地区的家养及工业化养殖鸡群中采集的气管拭子与泄殖腔拭子。研究采用Ion Torrent PGM测序平台对提取的细菌DNA完成测序，并借助RGI bwt工具，对获取的短DNA序列开展细菌基因组内抗生素抗性基因存在情况的分析。
