This SPSS dataset describes the effect of preoperative intravenous iron isomaltoside versus usual care for iron deficiency anaemia in patients with colorectal cancer. This is a pilot randomized controlled trial of 40 patients allocated to either intravenous iron therapy (n=20) or no iron therapy (n=20). Data was collected by investigators during the preoperative period at Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong from patient's medical records as well as from a validatd and reliable questionnaire (15-item Quality of Recovery Score). Patient were followed up for 30 days after surgery.

本SPSS数据集（SPSS dataset）旨在探讨结直肠癌患者缺铁性贫血的术前异麦芽糖苷铁静脉输注方案与常规护理的疗效差异。本研究为一项先导性随机对照试验，共纳入40例患者，按随机分组原则分配至静脉铁剂治疗组（n=20）与无铁剂治疗对照组（n=20）。研究数据由研究者于香港中文大学威尔斯亲王医院的术前阶段，通过采集患者病历资料，以及使用经过验证且信度良好的15项术后恢复质量评分（15-item Quality of Recovery Score）问卷获取。所有患者均在术后接受了30天的随访。
