Salen-Based [Zn<sub>2</sub>Ln<sub>3</sub>] Complexes with Fluorescence and Single-Molecule-Magnet Properties

A family of four isostructural complexes with a V-shaped pentanuclear [Zn2Ln3] core of general formula [Zn2Ln3(m-salen)3(N3)5(OH)2] [LnIII = TbIII (1), EuIII (2), HoIII (3), DyIII (4); m-salen = N,N′-ethylenebis(3-methoxysalicylideneamine)] were isolated and structurally characterized. The fluorescence and magnetic measurements of the four compounds were investigated. Complex 1 exhibits strong fluorescence properties, while single-molecule-magnet behavior is seen in complex 4.
一类具有V形五核[Zn₂Ln₃]结构核心、通式为[Zn₂Ln₃(m-salen)₃(N₃)₅(OH)₂]的同构配合物家族,共包含四种成员,其中LnⅢ分别为TbⅢ(化合物1)、EuⅢ(化合物2)、HoⅢ(化合物3)、DyⅢ(化合物4);m-salen(N,N′-ethylenebis(3-methoxysalicylideneamine))为N,N'-亚乙基双(3-甲氧基水杨醛亚胺)。该系列配合物均已被分离并完成结构表征,随后对其开展了荧光与磁性性能测试研究。其中化合物1展现出较强的荧光特性,而化合物4则呈现单分子磁体行为。
