The EMIC waves data set is based on a list of Cluster 1 data provided by Benjamin Grison. It is built to allow comparisons with Usanova et al. (doi 10.1029/2012JA018049) and Grison et al. (doi 10.1029/2020GL090921) studies.From this list, 500 5 min intervals of EMIC wave events were randomly selected. Cluster 1 data of CP_FGM_5VPS type in GSE coordinates were used with a data rate of 5 Hz. The Cluster 1 data can be retrieved fromhttps://csa.esac.esa.int/csa-web/
