Connectivity of Jungle cat in central India using fecal samples

The aim of the study was to understand the connectivity of Jungle cat (Felis chaus) using fecal samples. Impact of various landscape features on animal movement was also identified and this study highlights the importance of the use of SNP data over microsatellites for understanding the connectivity of a widespread species like jungle cat.

本研究旨在通过粪便样本解析丛林猫（Jungle cat, Felis chaus）的种群连通性。研究同时明确了各类景观要素对动物移动的影响，并着重强调：相较于微卫星标记（microsatellites），采用单核苷酸多态性（SNP）数据解析丛林猫这类广布物种种群连通性，具有更为重要的应用价值。
