Survival benefit of resection surgery for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with liver metastases: a propensity score-matched SEER database analysis.

Data for patients with PDAC and hepatic metastasis were extracted from the population-based Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database (SEER). The bias between CDS and non-CDS groups was minimized with Propensity Score Matching (PSM), and the prognostic role of CDS was investigated by comparing Kaplan-Meier estimators and using an information-theoretic model-comparison of Cox proportional hazard models.
