Samples were collected from an interstate overpass and a creek both before and after impact from interstate runoff. The goal was to determine if the overpass contributed to the microbial community structure of the nearest creek. The relevance of this study is the increased regulations on non-point source runoff, and what steps need to be taken to treat roadway surface runoff.
