Here we present a record of stable water isotopes (δ18O, δD), mineral dust, and methane (CH4) from a 96.3 m ice core drilled to bedrock in 2020 at the eastern summit of Mount Elbrus (5,565 m a.s.l., Caucasus). Continuous-flow analysis provides high-resolution measurements, while the chronology is constrained using 210Pb, 3H, radiocarbon (14C), and three-dimensional ice-flow modelling. The upper 75 m of the ice core provide a dated record of the last millennium.
本数据集收录了2020年在高加索地区厄尔布鲁士山东峰(海拔5565米)钻取至基岩的96.3米冰芯中的稳定水同位素(stable water isotopes,δ¹⁸O、δD)、矿物尘埃与甲烷(methane,CH₄)记录。本研究采用连续流动分析(continuous-flow analysis)技术获取了高分辨率测量数据,冰芯的年代序列通过铅-210(²¹⁰Pb)、氚(³H)、放射性碳(radiocarbon,¹⁴C)以及三维冰流模拟(three-dimensional ice-flow modelling)进行约束。该冰芯上部75米可提供近千年的定年记录。
