This repository contains the model inputs, climate forcing, and Python post-processing scripts used to reproduce the groundwater–lake analyses. HGS_inputs.zip — HydroGeoSphere (HGS) model input files, including the model geometry, material/property definitions, boundary-condition files, recharge inputs, lake and wetland node definitions, and other files required to run the groundwater simulations. python_code.zip — Python scripts used to post-process HGS/Tecplot model outputs. Recharge_GW_Lake_Calculation.py calculates groundwater recharge, groundwater storage, groundwater heads and water depths, lake area and volume, and related sensitivity metrics. Streamline_Calculation.py processes backward particle/streamline simulations to calculate groundwater flow-path lengths, residence times, flow-path statistics, and associated cumulative distributions. The archive also contains supporting node/lookup files used by these scripts. P+ET.xlsx — Reconstructed precipitation and potential evapotranspiration time series used to derive the transient climatic forcing and net-recharge history applied in the groundwater model. These files provide the principal inputs and analysis workflows required to reproduce the transient groundwater-storage, groundwater–lake interaction, and groundwater-flow-path results reported in the associated study.
