磁化率测试结果与野外地层划分具有很好的对应关系,即磁化率曲线的峰、谷分别对应于野外划分的古土壤和黄土层。古地磁测试结果表明B/M界限出现在剖面古土壤层S8的顶部,并且在剖面下部12.7-14.0m的位置出现了松山负向期的贾拉米洛正向极性亚带。应用古地磁测年与光释光测年相结合的方法,确定甘孜黄土剖面底界的年龄为1.15Ma,为目前为止发现的川西高原时代最老的黄土剖面。

The results of magnetic susceptibility tests show a strong correlation with field stratigraphic division; specifically, the peaks and troughs of the magnetic susceptibility curve correspond to the field-identified paleosols and loess layers, respectively. Paleomagnetic test results indicate that the Brunhes-Matuyama (B/M) boundary occurs at the top of paleosol layer S8 in the loess section, and the Jaramillo Normal Polarity Subzone of the Matuyama Reverse Chron is present at 12.7–14.0 m in the lower part of the section. By combining paleomagnetic dating and optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating methods, the age of the bottom boundary of the Ganzi loess section is determined to be 1.15 Ma, making it the oldest loess section discovered so far in the western Sichuan Plateau.
