POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME (PCOS): EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND MODERN TREATMENT APPROACHES

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders in women of reproductive age. The disease is characterized by ovulation disorders, hyperandrogenism, insulin resistance, and changes in ovarian morphology. PCOS significantly impacts not only a woman's reproductive health but also her metabolic status, increasing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, endometrial hyperplasia, and infertility. This article presents current data on the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, early diagnosis methods, and modern treatment approaches for polycystic ovary syndrome in accordance with international clinical guidelines. Key approaches to preventing complications and preserving reproductive function are discussed.
