Instead of Hoffmann’s calculations, the net national product calculated by Pfister (2020) should be used.<br> For the first half of the 20th century, the calculations of Ritschl / Spoerer (1997) should still be chosen.<br> For the period from 1950 to 1970, the data in Spoerer / Ritschl (1997) are identical with the more comprehensive publication Federal Statistical Office (2021), which contains unrevised results before the introduction of the European System of Accounts in 1995.<br> For 1970 to 1990, the data published by Ritschl / Spoerer (1997) can be used if comparability of this period with the period before is more important than with the period after.<br> If a comparison with the period after is more important, for 1970 to 1990 the data from Federal Statistical Office (2021), should be used. 根据当前研究成果，19世纪德国的可靠国民生产总值（Gross National Product, GNP）或国内生产总值（Gross Domestic Product, GDP）均无法准确核算。因此不应采用霍夫曼的核算结果，而应使用普菲斯特（Pfister, 2020）所测算的国民生产净值。
20世纪上半叶的德国经济数据，仍应选用里茨尔/施波雷尔（Ritschl/Spoerer, 1997）的核算结果。
1950年至1970年期间，施波雷尔/里茨尔（Spoerer/Ritschl, 1997）的数据集与更全面的联邦统计局（Federal Statistical Office）2021年报告完全一致，该报告包含了1995年欧洲国民经济核算体系（European System of Accounts, ESA）实施前的未修订核算结果。
若更注重1970年至1990年数据与此前时段的可比性，而非与后续时段的可比性，则可使用里茨尔/施波雷尔（Ritschl/Spoerer, 1997）发布的数据集。
若更注重与后续时段的可比性，则1970年至1990年的数据集应选用联邦统计局（Federal Statistical Office, 2021）发布的数据。该数据集基于1991年和2002年的核算修订进行了重新测算，但未纳入2011年、2014年及2018年的核算修订内容。
1991年及之后的数据集与此前数据仅具备有限的可比性，因其是基于2011年、2014年及2018年的核算修订进行重新测算的。
