we report the development of a 10B-doped MCP detector system and the neutron resonance imaging experiments at the Back-n neutron source. Individual heavy elements such as gold, silver, tungsten, and indium can be easily identified in the transmission images through their characteristic resonance peaks in the 1-100 eV energy range, and more difficult medium-weight elements such as iron, copper, and aluminum with resonance peaks in the 1-100 keV energy range can also be identified.
本研究报道了一款掺硼-10(¹⁰B)的微通道板(Microchannel Plate, MCP)探测器系统的研制工作,以及在Back-n中子源上开展的中子共振成像实验。借助1~100电子伏特能段内的特征共振峰,可在透射图像中轻松识别金、银、钨、铟等重元素;而铁、铜、铝等识别难度更高的中等质量元素,凭借其1~100千电子伏特能段内的共振峰,同样可实现有效识别。
