Journals Publishing MRC (UK) funded output

An analysis of the journals contributing to the published output of the UK medical research council. A search at Pubmed for articles with a grant number or affiliation containing MRC or "Medical Research Council" and having an affiliation in the UK was obtained as an XML file. A database of all papers and journals was created (mrc.sql) and this was used to generate a csv file of the contribution of each journal over time (mrc.csv). The top 35 journals were graphed from 2008-2012 and the PLOS contributions highlighted.

本数据集针对英国医学研究理事会（UK Medical Research Council, MRC）学术发表成果的贡献期刊开展分析。通过在PubMed数据库中检索满足以下条件的文献：基金号或作者单位包含MRC或"Medical Research Council"，且作者单位位于英国，最终获取了XML格式的检索结果文件。随后构建了涵盖全部文献与期刊的数据库（mrc.sql），并基于该数据库生成了各期刊随时间推移的贡献量CSV文件（mrc.csv）。针对2008年至2012年间发文量排名前35的期刊绘制了统计图表，并重点标注了PLOS期刊的文献贡献情况。
