This item contains the minimal anonymized dataset used to reproduce the analyses in the manuscript “Spatiotemporal Patterns and Drivers of Foreign Player Origin Countries in the Chinese Super League”.S1_data.xlsx: country/region-by-season dataset of foreign player counts (2010–2024).S2_data.xlsx: explanatory variables used in GeoDetector analyses (e.g., cultural, institutional, economic and geographic distance; shared language; border adjacency) and stage labels.All data are aggregated at the country/region–season level and do not include any personal identifiers.
