The Hospitals Partial Incorporation Act of 1847 (11 Vic. no.59) enabled certain public hospitals to sue and be sued in the name of their treasurer and provided for the taking and holding of real property belonging to such hospitals. Section 4 of the Act provided for the memorial of the name of each treasurer for the time being to be recorded in the office of the Registrar General. This Act was repealed by the Public Hospitals Act of 1898 but section 126 of the 1898 Act continued the requirement for a memorial of the name of the treasurer to be recorded in the office of the Registrar General. The Public Hospitals Act, 1929 which came into operation on 1 November 1929 discontinued the requirement for memorials to be recorded. The memorials consist of sworn oaths signed by the treasurer and committee members of the hospital in the presence of a Commissioner for Affidavits. (8/1682-85). 4 boxes. Note: This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
备注:本描述摘录自2000年第三版《新南威尔士州档案馆简明指南》(Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales)。
