This sample represents a soil microbiome collected from an agricultural pineapple farm in Malaysia. DNA was extracted from the soil and used to amplify the 16S rRNA gene to study the bacterial community. Sequencing was performed using the Oxford Nanopore MinION platform. The objective of this study is to assess the microbial diversity in agricultural soils and provide baseline data for understanding the impact of land use on soil microbiota in tropical farming environments.
