Among nearly 2000 unidentified gamma-ray sources detected with the Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope, there are potentially many pulsars. The ultra-wide frequency coverage will enable us to detect MSPs with steep spectrum and avoid difficulties caused by interstellar scintillation and dispersive and scattering smearing. We propose to revisit highly ranked pulsar candidates that remain unidentified. Such a pilot survey will help us designing future searches of the coming 4FGL gamma-ray source catalog using the UWL. We select 11 targets and request 12 hour time in total.

在费米伽马射线空间望远镜(Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope)探测到的近2000个未证认伽马射线源中,存在大量潜在脉冲星。该设备具备超宽频率覆盖范围,可使我们探测到具有陡谱的毫秒脉冲星(Millisecond Pulsar, MSP),并规避由星际闪烁、色散展宽与散射展宽带来的观测困难。我们提议对尚未完成证认的高优先级脉冲星候选体开展重新观测。此次试点巡天将助力我们优化未来利用超宽频段(UWL)对即将发布的4FGL伽马射线源表开展搜寻的方案设计。本次研究共遴选11个观测目标,并申请了总计12小时的观测时长。
