These experimental and numerical (finite element modeling) data present image stacks of a microfluidic chamber, enclosed by a set of asymmetrical electrodes enabling the application of an electric field for the study of electrohydrodynamic effects. Experimentally, fluid movement is tracked using micrometric fluorescent tracers, enabling flow profiles to be measured perpendicular to the electrode surface. These profiles were obtained as a function of signal frequency, applied potential and electrolyte conductivity.
