ICJ DATASET 1.0

Although there have been several quantitative studies of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), no data set of judgments, judges and covariates is currently available to the research community. We address this lacuna by releasing a new data set compiling information on case characteristics, outcomes, judges and state parties. The data covers the period 1974 to January 2023. The accompanying note describes and explores the data and variables covered in the current release.

尽管学界已针对国际法院（International Court of Justice, ICJ）开展了多项定量研究，但目前科研界尚无可用的判决、法官与协变量（covariates）数据集。我们通过发布全新数据集填补了这一研究空白，该数据集收录了案件特征、判决结果、法官及缔约国的相关信息。本数据集涵盖1974年至2023年1月的全部相关数据。随附的说明文档将对本次发布版本涵盖的数据与变量进行详细描述并开展探索性分析。
