The Effect of Dog Ownership on the Microbiome of Elderly Humans

This study analyzes the effects of dog ownership on the gut microbiomes of elderly adults. Stool samples were collected from elderly adults before becoming a dog owner, and then 1, 2, and 3 months after getting a dog. Samples were also collected from each dog.
