Data created at CVR during the KAMILE project on kinetics and mechanisms of crack initiation in liquid metal embrittlement (LME), funded by the GACR Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (c.n. 16-15008S) for fundamental science (2016-2018). The project is focused on the study of crack initiation in heavy liquid metal (HLM) environments at 300°C, in terms of threshold stresses and mechanisms. The steels considered are the ferritic-martensitic T91, the austenitic 1.4970 (15-15Ti), and (to a lesser extent) austenitic 316L. The environments are PbBi and Pb, with reference tests also performed in air for comparison.
