Changes in Assortative Matching: Theory and Evidence for the US

The extent to which like-with like marry is particularly important for inequality as well as for the outcomes of children that result from the union. In this paper we discuss approaches to the measurement of changes in assortative mating. We derive two key conditions that a well-defined measure同质婚配（assortative mating）的程度，对于不平等问题以及婚姻结合所产生的子女结局均具有重要意义。本文探讨了同质婚配变化的测度方法，并推导出良定义测度（well-defined measure）所需满足的两项核心条件。
