Cathedre with an icon of Christ and High Priest Greek, first half of the 16th century Cypress carved, painted and gilded, the crowns of the armrests are lacking. Made with ReMake and ReCap from AutoDesk. The cathedre, or bishop's seat, is placed in the Orthodox churches at the front, on the right. It is often backed by a pillar. It usually rests on two lions layers and is crowned by a canopy. The theme of the icon on the record, the Christ and High Priest enthroned, is apparent to that of the Pantocrator, or Almighty, who emphasizes the majesty of Christ.
